Any Lcd Tv And Blu Ray Disc Player Experts Out There?

I'm looking to purchase an LCD flat screen tv along with a Blu Ray player in the near future. Can anyone provide some info/suggestions as to what cords or other accessories I'd need that wouldn't be included with tv and player? Any help is appreciated.

  1. You’ll need a HDMI cable for sure to run from the Blu-ray player to the TV.
You don’t need anything fancy or expensive…something like this should do just fine: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…
Do you have a Surround Sound System? If you do, then i recommend getting a Digital Coaxial or Digital Optical audio cable to run from the Blu-ray to the Surround Sound System. Something like one of these two should work good:
    Coaxial(recommended): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…
    Optical: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?…

  2. You need an HDMI cord to connect the Blu-ray player to your TV. (Make sure your TV has HDMI connections.) You’ll also need an HDMI or component video cables for HD cable if you get that. There is no reason to buy your HDMI cables from anywhere but Monoprice.com or BlueJeansCables.com. They charge about $10 (shipped) for an HDMI cable that will work as well as anything else you can find.
That’s really all you need. Make sure you are plugging these things in to a decent surge protector.
If you’re interested Amazon is having a killer deal on the best Blu-ray players made (besides the PS3)–$125 off when you buy a Samsung BD-P1600 or 3600 and 4 Blu-ray movies. Shop wisely and you’ll be paying as little as $175 for the 1600 or $275 for the 3600, plus 4 Blu-ray movies. The offer ends tomorrow, so grab it while you can.http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/re…
