Can An Lcd Tv Screen Be Repaired For Less Than The Cost Of A New One?
We have a 32" LCD tv. (got it 2 short months ago :S ) My husband put our Wii remote 'through' it lastnight. The screen isn't damaged...like you can't feel a crack, but when it's on you can definately see the point of impact, and it spiders out a little. (no the tv doesn't have a warranty on it, only manufacture) Thanks!

Yes it is damaged. LCD panels have a thin protective plastic layer on the outside. That’s why you can’t feel the cracks. The glass panel underneath it is cracked and can not be repaired.

No. Unless the repair is covered by homeowners or renters insurance (unlikely), it’s not economically feasible to replace the LCD panel.

Your better off getting a new one. It will cost at least 3/4 of a new set. The warranty would not have covered this damage anyway.
