Can You Purchase An Lcd Tv And Write It Off As A Business Expense?
Simply put, I'm looking to purchase an LCD TV. My question is, can this be written off as a computer monitor/presentation tool for my small business? It can easily be used to give presentations and use for my statistical work while on the computer.
Would the IRS see this the same way I do?

Yes you can pass it off as an business expense but you need to pay it from your business account. If you are showing your business as a Home business then i guess u need to check out with ur accountant as to whats the correct procedure….i guess you can also find http://www.ebazaar.biz/closeout_deal.htm a good resource for LCD closeouts

If this is for your customers to watch in your waiting room, that would be fine.
In your example, you are just asking for trouble.

as long as your not sending up too many red flags you should be ok.
use a business credit card if all possible. if your small business is out of your home should be no problems. if a separate location just make sure to move it there if you get any notices. should be ok though

If it is a small one and is in your home office, you will be OK. If it a 52″ and in a den or living room, you are asking for trouble.
