How Do I Get My Dell Laptop To Send A Signal Through My S-video Output To My Lcd Tv?

I have tried hitting the LCD/CRT function key but it does not seem to send out a signal to my LCD TV.

  1. I’m assuming you are running windows XP. Right click on the desktop, click properties, select the settings tab, Click on monitor 2, click extend my desktop onto this montor and then set the resolution.

  2. it depends on what kind of video card you have.
E-mail me at 4pm and tell me what u have so i can help u further. u might have to re-install the driver and device

  3. get an s-video conector and connect your Laptop to your TV. then press “FN + CRT” mutliple times until both screens are showning (TV & LAPTOP)

  4. poster above me nailed it. Make sure you to into the settings right click on desktop and go to settings. and make sure the television is set as primary source

  5. The TV needs to be on the video source. After that, just plug in the connecters, and it should work fine.
