Well, they usually say somewhere on the outside…but if it is widescreen, it most likely is at least 720p which would mean it is an HDTV.
Did you see the HDTV logo on the box? What is the model number? If you know that, you can look on the web and find out the resolution.
It is HD. Dell does not make SD TVs.
If it has a tuner (RF input) it is HDTV, if not, it is HD Ready (you need an external tuner or set-top box)
