How To Display Total Hours Used On A Toshiba Lcd Tv?

I just bought a new Toshiba LCD TV (42RV500E). I cannot seem to find a command or menu that display the total time this particular unit has been operating.
Any help will be much appreciated.

  1. Why? Did you buy it as a floor stock? Open Box?
Or did you get a Boxed and Sealed TV set?
    Listen, either it’s NEW….or it’s REFURBISHED….or it’s a FLOOR MODEL…..
And you paid exactly what you should have paid for it….
So looking for how many hours your TV has been running should have no bearing AFTER the sale….BEFORE the sale, you could have dickered with them.
But if you didn’t dicker, then whose fault is that ?
Besides, if I gave you the secret codes, Then I’d have to shoot you.
IT IS THAT SECRET OF A SECRET
Those codes are NOT for the general public..they are for the servicers.
Now I can’t even guarantee that your model records how many panel hours it has on it, not all do
    .
But if you want the panel hours, then you must call a Toshiba Authorized Servicer, and tell them your model number, and ask if they can come out and let you know what the panel hours are…..
And you can’t hover over him…..He’ll get real real secret with the secret code….
And you will pay for his time….probably $55 to $120 depending on the company.

  2. There is no tv in the market that I can recall that will tell you how many hours it has been operating. Most of the time you’ll just have to estimate the hours.

  3. There is no way to know this, but in case of Plasma LCD, they give you an estimate as how many years you can use it.
