How To Make Lcd Tv My Primary Monitor?
I have a dell inspiron 9400 laptop, I have hooked it up to my Phillips lcd tv with a dvi to hdmi cable. I can extend my background to the tv but i can't make it my primary monitor.

Open the NVIDA control panel and you can change it to your primary monitor.
Download the latest drivers for your graphics card (if you have NVIDA).

depending if you are using vista or xp its about the same:
right click on your wallpaper and click on properties(xp) or personalize(vista). click on (display)settings and you ought to be able to configure which monitor you want for primary (#1)
i think you have choices of whether you want clone, vertical or horizontal. you’ll know you did it when you see your task bar on it.

I do with mine is use a vgs or dvi adapter and if you TV has a vga or DVI plug run the cable to the computer to the TV and make sure you set the resolution to about 1280 X1924 and if you have a remote for the TV you should be able to togle back and forth from TV to pc choosing input
