How To See The Display Of My Laptop Hp Dv2401tu In Lcd Tv ?
I have a HP 2401tu laptop which I bought 2years ago ( Sept 2007). Can I see its display in LCD TV. This laptop does not have HDMI port so I was just wondering if I buy a LCD tv. Will I be able to see the display on the big screen? I am not sure about my Laptop. Please advise

there is no such thing as an rgb port on a laptop. but there usually is a VGA port. if oyur tvhas a VGA input, and most do nowadays you will be fine. a vga to composite converter will work also.
Here’s one http://www.hdtvsupply.com/vgato5bncca7.h…
there are pnty more, so oyu can looks aroudn and probably find exactly what you need.
Hope this helps

u have two other options of connecting ur laptop with an lcd tv apart from using the hdmi port…
they are:
1. rgb port
2. S-video port
the quality of the picture through the ports are
rgb < s-video < hdmi
so if the tv is compatible with receiving signal through rgb and s-video u can see the display on an lcd tv.

well if you got no HDMI use the normal port…it has 15 holes ordered on 3 rows…all you need is a VGA cable that you can insert in your LCD and laptop…make sure that the cable is proper and got pins at both ends (as some cables have holes) and just plug it in..
