I Bought A Polaroid Lcd Tv (flu-2632) In Ireland And I Am Moving Back To The States. Will It Work In The Us?
I was just wondering, since the US is moving to Digital instead of Analogue - will the LCD TV from Ireland work over there?

The voltage and frequency are different in the states, so unless your tv says it can do 110V 60hz then it won’t even come on.
We’re Pal and they are NTSC, not sure how this effects digital tv, It will be cheaper to buy a new TV out there than ship that one over, especially as it might not even come on.

It will mostly work fine. You just won’t be able to use the internal tuner at all. If you intend to use it with antenna, you will need an ATSC tuner, perhaps one with HD out (none of the coupon convertors support HD, so you will need to pay full retail price).
You likely can use it fine with devices that output NTSC video.
You will also need SCART to RCA adapters, for no American equipment uses it, they are all RCA.

if it’s dual voltage, or if you buy a step-up transformer to change the US voltage to UK voltage (assuming Ireland is 220v like us)
