I Just Bought An Lcd Tv, I Would Like To Know What I Need To Have The Best Quality Picture I Have Basic Cable?
I BOUGHT A 52' LCD TV. WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO HAVE THE BEST QUALITY PICTURE? ALL I HAVE NOW IS BASIC CABLE GOING RIGHT INTO THE TV. IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I CAN ADD TO MAKE THE QUALITY BETTER?

I can’t overstate what a difference HD cable makes. Get an HD cable box, hook it up with an HDMI cable and prepare to be impressed. You could also get a Blu-ray player for Blu-ray movies or an upconverting DVD player for regular DVDs.

In my area some local channels come HD quality without me hooking up an antenna, so you should try it out to. If you are in a decent spot you can use a straightened out paper clip in the spot for the cable and see if yu can pick up the local digital channels, it worked on my cousin’s TVs.

You need to get an HD cable box from your provider and then use either HDMI or component (red/green/blue) cables to attach it to your new tv.
Only HDMI and component can carry an HD signal.
Now you are feeding your tv the lowest type of signal with the coax cable. After you upgrade you will see how great an HD tv can look.
