just trying to switch a cable box from one tv to another. just a standard lcd tv, i setup the cable in and cable out cords the right way. do i have to configure something with the cable box remote to set up on a new tv? thanks.
If the TVs are different, you may have to enter the new TV’s code number into the cable remote so that the remote can turn on the tv and cable box at the same time. Remote codes and instructions should come with the cable remote controller, or you should be able to get instructions and code numbers from your cable company. This is assuming that you are using a universal remote control for your cable box.
