Is It True That Ps3′s Damage An Lcd Tv If Used Too Often?
I have a BRAVIA LCD that came with a ps3. I play it about once or twice a week, but my friend says that if playing the PS3 too often on the TV it will damage it. Is that true?

LCD Flat panel OR LCD PROJECTION TV???
Pausing an LCD PROJECTION TV can result in the LCD panel getting to hot and burning an image into the panel….I don’t suggest pausing your TV to mow the lawn…it’s better to change the inputs to something that has video on it, and pause your game.
As for FLAT PANEL LCD, there is a very rare possibility of making the pixels STICK with a paused game….but don’t take chances with it…just pause your game and turn off the TV set…..
Both are VERY COSTLY to repair ……

It will not do internal damage, it will more or less “burn” an image into the screen. If left with one image for a long time, you may see a crude outline of that image on the screen of the TV anytime you use it. But luckily the LCD Tv’s do not work the same as a plasma and they do not have a problem with images getting “burned” into the screen. So if your not useing the PS3 for a little while, turn it off, or turn the TV off and you will be fine.

No. If you had a plasma or rear-projection set however, yes, it would.

You’re thinking of Plasma Televisions, but they have vastly improved on those issues.
