Is This Normal To See Whiteness On The Edges Of My Lcd Tv When Viewing A Dark Image?
I own a Samsung 940MW LCD TV monitor and have been using it as both a TV and a computer monitor for two weeks.
Recently I became aware when watching dark scenes on TV that a slight whitness appears on the edges of the screen.
For those who own a LCD TV do you also witness this?
Is this normal for LCD TV's to display an uneven dark image?
Is my LCD TV an older model and suffers the problems that newer LCD TV's have resolved?
Happy Christmas to you all

Yes ACTUALLY it is normal….even the “uneven” blackness is normal….
You have to understand the manufacturer’s concept….MAKE A DARN GOOD PICTURE the customer will enjoy!
It’s not Make our “Black-No Signal Picture” Perfect and to Hell with the Picture they watch 99.9 percent of the time.
I have had way too many people ask me why their Blacks are uneven, their One color has slight variations in Brightness, why are there little bars of darkness rolling thru my screen…..among others….
This is the LIMITATIONS of MAN-TECHNOLOGY…..Now if God were to build it….That would be a different result….
ENJOY your picture…..
