Samsung Flat Panel Lcd Tv Screen Totally Black On Any Input But Audio Continued To Function?
I have a Samsung Flat Panel LCD TV and recently, while using the tv, the entire screen just went black. The audio continued to function but even when I change source or channel or anything I can't get the screen to show any kind of picture. I've had the tv for prob. just over a year.

Just a hunch, the video input of the TV may have gone bad. Try switching the video cables and TV to a different input.
If that doesn’t work it is very probably a problem with the TV set.

Press the menu button. If the menu is displayed check the inputs. If no menu appears then the problem is in the TV. Next hold a VERY bright flashlight against the screen and look at the screen very closely next to the flash light. If you see video than the backlights are not working. On most Samsung models you can’t buy them seperate of the panel – requires panel replacement. If you don’t see any video problem could be LCD Drive board, LVDS cable, or main board – all of which is repairable. In some cases a faint orange sunset like image when viewed from the side is a good indication the LCD Drive board is bad.
