i have 26"lcd tv from philips model no.26TA2800/98 contrast ratio of 700:1 [Typical] it is wall mounted slight above eye level hence contrast level drops drastically.

I want to buy a 37" LCD TV, but I want to know what is the highest contrast ratio that I can find in a 37" TV with 1080 (i) or (p).

What Is The Best Ratio For An Lcd Tv?
I'm looking at buying myself an LCD TV and the ones i've been looking at all have different ratios. I'm just wondering which ratio is the best to get. Do I want a smaller ratio (ie 100:1) or a larger (100,000:1)
The tv will mainly be used for watching dvd's and playing xbox.
