What Can You Do If The Circuit Breaker Gets Tripped When The A New Lcd Tv Is On Along With A Portable Hearter?
Just got a new 40" LCD tv. We noticed the circuit breaker gets tripped after a while if the portable heater is running. Any options besides having a dedicated circuit for the tv?

The portable heater is drawing about 14.5 amps, and if it is on the same line or C/B as the TV you can’t have that. Move the heater to a kitchen outlet, most in their are 20 amp. and it will be fine.

We had the same problem with our microwave. Nothing else could be run on the circut without tripping the breaker. We had another outlet put in for the microwave and had its own circut put in. Problem solved. You may have to do the same thing if your heater has to be in the same room you are in.

Your portable heater and TV both draw alot of amps. You going to have to probably hook one of them up to another outlet on another breaker.

PUT THE HEATER on another circuit….
When it trips again, check other rooms nearby for power….then connect the heater to it.
Or wear more layers of clothing…
Don’t use extension cords to do this…..

how old is the electrical work in your home? If it’s fairly old that might be the problem, too. I have the same issue with our home. We turn on the kitchen light and half of the unit’s power goes out. Ugh. So, we’re making the owners send out an electrician to fix it =D
