What Gas/odor/etc Does An Lcd Tv Give Off?
I recently bought 3 LCD TV's (and returned 2 that weren't worth the money). However, I noticed that on all 3, whenever I walked into the room they were in, I could smell a weird odor. It's not strong or even bad really and I dont know how to explain it really. I just wanted to know if it is harmful or ok.

Have you ever walked into an electronics store, did you smell anything there? I am an electronics technician, the smell you detect is coming from the circuits inside the tv. When the circuits get warm, the non conductive plastics board on the which the circuit is printed on also gets warm and its that smell of the plastic you smell. Since your LCD tv is brand you, it will give off a lot of that plastic smell. But after couple of month plastic will get adjusted to the heat and little by little there won’t be any smell. Guaranteed!
