What Has Higher Resolution Capabilities? A Digital Lcd Computer Screen Or 1080p Lcd Tv?
If I connected a BLURAY DVD to a computer LCD monitor, will it look better if than it being connected to an LCD TV capable of 1080P?
What is different about a digital computer LCD monitor and an LCD TV that can handle 1080p internally and why would one be better suited for watching tv.. aside from it not having speakers.

Well monitors do have higher resolution. A 24″ monitor has a resolution of 1920×1200 (16:10). A 1080p tv has a 1920×1080 (16:9) resolution. Bluray, HD tv, upconvert dvd, etc, have an output of 1920×1080, so you will have some black bars on top and bottome. Bigger monitors have larger resolutions, like a 30″ monitor has a res. of 2560×1600. Monitors don’t upscale. So connecting a BD player to a monitor won’t make it look better, resolution wise. Contrast ratio, display type and other features are another story.
