What Size Screws/bolts To Mount An Lcd Tv?
I have a 15" lcd tv and i need to know what size the screw holds on the back are? Are they all universal? If I meassure the diameter, is that it?

They are not universal. it depends on the mounting. Measure the diameter and if possible, take a photo. Bring that to the hardware shop and ask for assistance.

Um, it depends on the mounting points on the unit, and whether or not those mounting points are designed to be used with a universal wall mount or not, and what the weight rating is for the unit.
For LCD installs like that, it may be best to hire a carpenter to do a full permanent wall install for you, since they have a habit of falling off the wall because people dont realize how much actual wall retention is required to mount them properly so they dont fall off.

It’s a 15 inch….your WALL MOUNT will weigh more than the TV set will….
LOOK in the specifications or the index at the back of your instruction manual….they should tell you the size of the bolts you need to mount the TV to the wall mount….
I’m sure they are Metric Bolts too….every manufacturer lists the bolts in metric format.
Heck, take your TV to the hardware store /lumberyard and size up the bolts instead of GUESSING…
Just…..don’t be clumsy with it.

I have a 42″ LG LCD TV. I have a wall mount that I have seamed to have lost my bolts fromt he back of the TV. Can anyone tell me what size they are. I have tried 1/4″ thin pitch and machine, 5mm, 6mm, and 8mm. None of them work.
