Whats The Difference Between A Plasma And A Lcd Tv?
My parents want to buy a new tv but we have no idea whether to get a plasma or LCD. Which is best?

LCD and Plasma both have High Definition, but the thing about plasma is that you have to replace the plasma in it every year or so, so it can get a little pricy over time. LCD would be the better choice because I think it has better quality and gives you a better choice for your money.

I would recommend getting an LCD. Plasmas are going to give you a much better more natural picture but they do have that burn in problem and since the screen is glass you’re going to have a glare. LCDs are going to be much brighter, more reliable, and since there are more LCDs than plasmas you have a larger variety of choices. The only plasma worth getting is the Pioneer Elite.

Plasma had been cheaper for larger screens then LCD. LCDs are supposed to have a sharper picture. LCD prices are moving down in the larger size and they are expected to replace plasma.

LCD is made of lights, plasma is made from gas that leaks out of your TV over time. I didn’t know anyone was sucker enough to buy a plasma anymore…

LCD is made of lights, while plasma screens are made of plasma (duh). After a while, plasmas will burn out, so you have to replace them
