Why Doesn’t My Movie Downloads Show Up On My Lcd Tv When Connected To My Pc?
I just hooked my laptop to my LCD tv using a VGA cable, and everything works great, I can see everything on the tv that is on the laptop. Except when i download a movie, it wont display on my tv, but it will still show up on the laptop screen. The audio works fine.

use VLC for playback; see in options > display (video) something related to directx/directdraw…. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that this is the setting to adjust for external monitor to be able to view divx movies…

If you’re using a laptop, you might need to manually activate or deactivate the laptop video port in order for your laptop to send a signal to the other screen. Review the documentation that came with your laptop for the function key or software command requirements for controlling the video output signal from the back of your laptop.
