I want to buy a Samsung Lcd Tv and distance between my futniture and lcd tv is a about 3 meters. what is the recommended tv size (in inches) for this distance?

A good size for this room will be a 40″ 46″. Keep in mind when purchasing a new tv, you can not see the difference between 720P and 1080P in screen size small than a 46″. Also the only source of 1080P is the blu-ray disc movies. Plasma still offer the best picture and viewing angle in all tvs in the market. Recommend a 42″ Panasonic Plasma tv model G10. It was on Home Theater magazine September issue, in which it was compared to a Sony, LG, Toshiba and Vizio 40″ LCD tv. The Plasma was the top choice and no further adjustment required out of the box and the only one that is a THX certified. Go online to Home Theater magazine and read the complete review and the pro’s and con’s on both. Hope this will help you out.

large room 42″

I would not go below 32 inch minimum.!! (Samsung is a good choice..) You may want to consider 40 inch.
